October 24, 2012 – The Wave That Breaks the Liberal Bubble

Can you feel it?

The wave, that is.  I speak of one that will wash away far more than just a failed presidency.  This wave will have the torque to rock the entire liberal bubble — the political/media/crony bubble — leaving it forever exposed.  Ironically, those inside this bubble will be the last to know — which is precisely why it will happen.  Those who would rule over us, and insult us with outrage over Big Bird, academic debate-scoring, “binders” memes, and specious jobs statistics know nothing about us.  This includes those inside the bubble who purport to represent our views.

But we know them well.  For the record, “we” refers to the quarter of the country that never bought into the fraudulent vapor of Obama and who lost respect for anyone who did.  Even post-election, when 70% plus of the nation was in this stupor, we knew it was Marxist voodoo that could not last.

It did not.  Early in 2009, per Rasmussen, another 25% got over the phony high of Obama’s election.  Since then, Obama’s been underwater on approval .

Millions more have joined this narrow majority in the past weeks.  Debates have been the catalysts, but this epiphany has been building for much longer — and now it’s reached critical mass.  There is now understanding of the shallowness of Obama and of liberalism.  Everything said by the supposedly racist, mean-spirited conservatives has been validated.

Doggone it…I think they’ve been right all along.

We were, and not just about Obama.  We’ve been right about the academia elites, the Jurassic media, the elitist conservative pundits, the establishment, the “obama foam” class, and Occupy and union thugs, too.  This includes anybody who makes his living from government — and the reporting thereof.  It encompasses those who live inside the bubble, plus those who depend on them.  These people are all intertwined, co-dependent, and out of step with America.  Recent events have finally connected dots for a lot of people in ways they can no longer deny.

Consider a quick history:

Rush Limbaugh opened his show that day saying that “the new tone has come home to roost” and, seconds later, “I’m already on the field.”  Many scratched their heads, yet others knew exactly what he meant.  The diluted conservatism of Bush, Karl Rove, and John McCain was destined to fail — allowing a fresh start to take its place.  This was explicitly Rush’s point.  Game on!

It mattered not that Bush and McCain couldn’t stand each other; reaching across the aisle and the new tone were different names for the same perception failure.  Thus, the end of Bush/McCain felt like termination from a bad job.  Awful, and yet liberating.  Many were “on the field” with Rush that day.  The wave began.

Yes, Romney uses some McCain language — and Rove is part of efforts to defeat Obama.  Consider them collateral beneficiaries of a wave they don’t understand.

The wave grew in February 2009, when Rick Santelli reintroduced the term “Tea Party” into our vernacular on CNBC — and his rant went viral thanks to Matt Drudge and Limbaugh.  The phrase “Tea Party” was everywhere.

Thus, when people connected in spring ’09 at town hall meetings opposing ObamaCare, Tea Party groups organically sprang up.  David Axelrod, who has never been part of any movement that he was not paid to dream up and fabricate, immediately projected his counterfeit style onto the Tea Party.  He still doesn’t get it.

In November 2009, Jon Corzine was decisively beaten by Chris Christie, and Bob McDonnell won Virginia big.  People were seeking refuge from Obama in the safety of Republican governors.  In the bubble, they ignored these and bitterly clung to an oddball race in New York 23.  Hey, no big deal — you won two, but we won one.  Nothing to see here.  By the way, did we mention that Obama is personally popular?

The wave then crashed at Hyannis months later and washed the Ted Kennedy seat out of Democrat hands.  Scott Brown is no Reagan, but his campaign was anti-ObamaCare and pro-Tea — even as he avoided the term.  The excuse from the bubble?  Martha Coakley was a poor candidate.  True, but poor libs win safe seats all the time.  Those in the bubble missed the point and passed ObamaCare anyway.

They even promised to read it…if Nancy Pelosi would take her 200-pound gavel off it.

Then came 2010, which, like 1994, was fought ideologically.  With Pelosi predicting victory, Democrats lost 69 seats in Congress, 700 state seats, lots of governors — and damned near every dogcatcher.  Pelosi lost her gavel, too.

Undeterred, the bubble-dwellers then put all their chips on the table in Wisconsin, where they had unions, a hack judge, and the sacrosanct teachers on their side.  This was their slam-dunk.  They were sure they could sink Scott Walker, and the world would be right again.

Uh-oh.  Walker won the absurd recall easily.  The bigger story is the damage done to  public unions.  The infantile behavior of so-called dedicated educators was seen nationwide.  “Public servants,” greedy?  Who knew?

In the bubble, they dismissed this.  They said the problem was simply their messaging and the evil Koch Brothers.  Forget Brown, Christie, McDonnell, 69 seats, 700 legislators, lots of governors, and Walker (twice).  Forget that the entire nation watched the Democrats flee the state to avoid a vote!  Obama is still inevitable.  Everyone (in the bubble) knows it.

They really believe this, and they really believe that the world revolves around them.  For years, it did — as most power, communication and information originated inside the bubble.  Three networks, two wires, one cable, and three dailies ruled the bubble and the opinions of the world.  We know the rest: along came Rush, Drudge, Fox, Hannity, Levin, Savage, Beck, and the conservative websites.  Breitbart emerged and inspired millions to embrace tech toys to expose the “racial Marxism” of the Democrat-media complex.  Thanks to the delightful capers of O’Keefe and Giles, we all know ACORN.

Liberal mischief was exposed.  A union thug fakes racism at a Tea Party — it goes viral.  SEIU members confess to being paid to protest — and it goes viral.  A Democrat congressman insults a youngster — it goes viral.  Chris Matthews wets his pants, and it goes viral.  Weiner…well, you know — and it goes viral.  The entire bubble is intellectually naked, and everyone sees the political porn without the networks, cable channels, or newspapers that once controlled access.

In the bubble, where politics is but a game, they miss the cumulative effect of all this.  They have no sense of the undertow pulling on many.

Fast forward to last week.  As Candy Crowley and the pundits are finding out, winning the optics of the moment is no longer enough.  Now events are won and lost in the days following.  It’s not over ’til the fat lady goes viral.  She went viral, and now Crowley, Obama, and the entire media coterie are being exposed on the web.

Those in the bubble never see these tectonic shifts.  They were in denial after Drudge nearly brought down Bill Clinton.  They stayed in denial after bloggers retired Dan Rather.  Everyday reality brings down more newspapers and magazines, and the pioneer of cable is now only airport fare.

Hello?  Anyone in the bubble spot a trend here?

No, and this includes some good guys.  Limbaugh and Mark Levin hammered Charles Krauthammer and George Will last week on their groupthink.  Even bubble conservatives speak of four-dollar gas and dead ambassadors as mere debate topics.  How can they miss that four-buck gas, soaring food prices, and 11% unemployment are ruining lives?  These are not points awarded because a guy sounds elegant.

Crowley’s antics are a sample of incidents that cause light bulbs to go off for voters who may not know the issues but who do know that a president who has to be rescued by a B-list journalist is indeed an empty chair.  They know that the B-list journalist is not worth listening to, either.  This is the kind of event that can put the last four years into instant perspective for someone.

Different dots connect for different people.  For some, it may be Obama snarking, “Can you say that a little louder, Candy?” after blaming the video for weeks.  Add this to Big Bird, binders, and contraception for middle-aged students, and even unserious voters can tell that Obama is unserious.

For others, it may be the pipeline and gas prices.  Or the cancer ad, the phony Harvard Cherokee, or fat union perks.  Whatever the dots, they all connect those inside the liberal matrix of Obama, all Democrats, the media, unions, Occupy, and the pundits.  Nothing they have said for years is actually true.

If such realizations have hit critical mass, we have a wave.

Gone will be Obama and the Democrat Senate.  More than that, however, will be the exposition of the entire liberal myth.  Obama has been the face of liberalism, and the bubble has been his support system.  When this vapor gets blown away, the propagators will see their credibility blown away as well.

Even at this late date, many assign credence to polls with laughable 2008 turnout models.  This includes Fox, Rasmussen, and the Wall Street Journal, as well as the liberal outlets.  (Gallup excluded this week.)  It will be fun to watch the horror, the denial, and then the spin after election day.

That’s why the wave will be so satisfying.  Oh, saving the country from four more years of Obama will be important, too, of course.  But that will be challenging at the same time.  Remember that John Boehner was a collateral beneficiary of the 2010 elections, and he still does not understand the movement that gave him the speaker’s gavel.  The same might be true for Romney and Paul Ryan.  Rove will also get more credit, more airtime, and more wealth as a result.  He may think he is driving the wave, but he is merely riding it.  These winners are very likely to miss the message of this election, just as the liberals have misinterpreted every election since 2009.  Inside the bubble, they always miss it.

All of this will present challenges and frustrations, of course, going forward.  To paraphrase a sentiment of Levin’s, we’ll “deal with all of that later.”  And we will.  In the meantime, enjoy the wave.  It’s coming.  You can feel it, too.  I know you can.

Angela Cox

One of my fellow Patriots brought to my attention The Burleson Declaration. It was read on the floor of the US House of Representatives, by Congressman Chet Edwards, in July of 2009.

I’ve taken the liberty, you know how I Love Liberty, to post the text of the Declaration below.

I will urge ALL OF MY FELLOW  PATRIOTS, to slightly modify this text, and send similar Declarations to every one of the 535 members of the 112th congress.

Thank you Ms. Cox for all that you do to help preserve our great Republic. You madam, are a GREAT PATRIOT indeed!

Mr. EDWARDS of Texas. Madam Speaker, to honor the request of a group of citizens from Burleson, Texas in my district, I rise today to enter into the Record the following resolution:

The Burleson Declaration

When, in the course of human events it becomes necessary for “we the people” of the United States to remind our federal government of it’s constitutional limits, duty demands that we communicate our grievances and petition for redress under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

We begin by reaffirming the core values on which our forefathers founded this Constitutional Republic.

We hold these truths to be self evident–that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

That to secure these rights our forefathers instituted a limited federal government which derives its just powers from the consent of the governed–but the history of our Federal government is one of continual over-reaching beyond it’s  constitutional mandate to secure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.

We are therefore peaceably assembled here in Burleson, Texas on this April 15th, 2009 to demand that the Federal government immediately cease it’s abridgement of the People’s rights, and the state’s rights.

We call on our District 17 U.S. Representative Chet Edwards to read this our petition for redress on the House floor so that it may be entered into the official record of the House.

We call on our U.S. Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn to enter our petition into the Senate record.

We call on President Barak Hussein Obama to veto all legislation and desist from Executive Orders which contravene the will of the people herein expressed.

Whereas, the encouragement of private and public debt by the federal government has brought America to the brink of financial devastation, and has made us a debtor nation;

Whereas, history proves government spending has never succeeded in curing an economic downturn, but rather serves only to deepen and prolong it, snowballing debt for future calamity;

Whereas, government takeovers of banks and financial institutions move America ever further from the free-enterprise principles that have brought the nation prosperity for 233 years, and bring it closer to Socialism;

Whereas, bailouts of private corporations represent a counterproductive response to what is, essentially, a government-induced crisis, and effectively make the President the CEO of private corporations;

Whereas, the current level of irresponsible government spending is bankrupting this country, burdening our children and great-grandchildren with never-ending debt, and making the United States a servant to lender nations such as Communist China;

Whereas, redistribution of wealth by government for the purpose of achieving “social justice” is immoral and a proven failure:

We hereby demand an end to all further “stimulus” spending, corporate bailouts, “earmarks,” pork projects, welfare programs, higher tax rates and attempts to nationalize industries. We reject socialism, no matter how it is packaged. And we pledge to hold accountable any and all elected officials who continue to pursue this course that is rapidly leading America to ruin. We remind the government that we are guaranteed a Republican form of Government in the  constitution. (Article 4, Section 4)

We hereby petition Congress to repeal the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 which unconstitutionally delegated to the Executive Branch the spending decision of 700 Billion dollars. We call on the government to immediately divest itself of GM, AIG, and all private corporations, and to provide an exact accounting of all TARP funds spent to date. We demand the repeal of H.R. 1106, which forces  American families pay the mortgage for those who received loans they did not qualify for.

We petition Congress to repeal the Omnibus Appropriations Act of 2009 (H.R. 1105), and that the budget bill under consideration be killed which has a net tax hike of $1.35 trillion.

We petition Congress for passage of H.R. 450 the Enumerated Powers Act, to require Congress to specify the source of authority under the United States Constitution for the enactment of laws, and for other purposes.

We petition Congress for a final end to the death tax which effectively double taxes every citizen’s income and usurps our right to transfer wealth to our posterity. This abridges our constitutional right to be safe in our effects, papers and property.

We reject the cap-and-trade energy tax, which Candidate Obama admitted would “cause electricity rates to skyrocket.”

We reject the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009 which will force onerous certification and inspection requirements on family farms and could make private vegetable gardens unlawful and turn the farmers market into a black market.  (H.R. 875)

We reject the deceptively named Employee Free Choice Act which takes from the American worker the right to privately ballot whether to organize labor, or not, and makes them subject to union intimidation and bullying. (H.R. 800)

We reject the so called “Ted Kennedy Serve America Act”which forces our youth into involuntary servitude and subjects them to years of indoctrination. This is a violation of the 13th Amendment to our constitution which abolished slavery and involuntary servitude except when duly convicted of a crime. (H.R. 1388)

We reject all encroachment upon our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. An armed populace is the greatest preservative of the Republic against tyrants. We reject all attempts to limit access to ammunition. We reject the reinstatement of the Failed 1994 Gun and Magazine ban.

As Ronald Wilson Reagan has said: “There are those in America today who have come to depend absolutely on government for their security. And when government fails they seek to rectify that failure [by giving] government more power, at the expense of the Constitution, in their willingness to give up their arms in the name of safety, they are really giving up their protection from what has always been the chief source of despotism–government.”

We reject government run Health Care which would give bureaucrats the power to ration health care. This leads to an Orwellian society where government ultimately decides the time and circumstance of every citizen’s death.

Finally, we reject the current `Create a Crisis’ method of controlling the people of the United States. As Texas Congressman Ron Paul correctly stated,“Whenever something terrible happens, people reflexively demand that government do something. This impulse almost always leads to bad laws and the loss of liberty.”

We say that we do not trust in the Nanny-state, we choose instead to believe in the Constitution, in our fellow Americans, in the free enterprise system, and in our God. To these principles we pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor, and witness our determination by our signature affixed below. We demand that our elected representatives make it their highest priority to address these grievances or face certain expulsion from office, and we strongly suggest they add their signature to ours.

I just received information that Ms. Cox has been awarded another Honor concerning her fight to help save our Great Republic. Notice the ‘Personalized/Handwritten’ marks,  on the prepared letter, from Congressman Bill Flores.  He calls her ‘Angie’!

TEA – Time to Engage Actively

If not now…When???

Ok, we have joined together, held meetings to get to know each other, made websites and facebook pages and educated ourselves on the issues of the day. We have watched all the debates and some have picked their favorite candidate for president, but now it is Time to Engage Actively; it’s time “in the words of O” to take off the bedroom slippers and put on the boots.

The Democrats are well organized. They have been working since Jan 2009 to make sure O gets re-elected. We have been thinking about getting O defeated since Nov 2008. We are having to wait to find out who that person will be who will be the one to do it, but in the mean time we need to get more people registered to vote, figure out how to support our local and state candidates, work on getting people to the primaries and then to the general election on Nov 6th. We need to work with our local GOPs to sign up to be poll workers, election judges, drivers of cars to get people to the polling places, picking good conservatives to be candidates in the local elections and the state races.

It is important that TEA Party groups get geared up and ready to go.

We need to help each other by sharing ideas and information. It is not enough to just sit and read emails, post on facebook, tweet your thoughts or just sit and watch the boob tube and get mad. It is time to put on your boots, roll up your sleeves, get off your butts and engage actively. Don’t just attend your group’s meetings, but attend others in your area. We all have different ideas and we need to get our numbers up to show the country that we are a force to be reckoned with and we haven’t faded away. Bring new people with you. Engage your friends and neighbors. Walk your neighborhood and find out what your neighbors are concerned about and answer their questions on what the tea party is and what we want for the future of our country.

This election is undoubtedly the most important in our lifetimes. The future of our great country is in our hands. If we don’t take action now, then when? When it’s too late? When our kids and grandkids start asking us why we let the greatest country in the history of mankind go down? When you no longer have the opportunity to vote?

This is your call to action. Call, write, email, message, or tweet your TEA Party, 9-12 Groups, Conservative Groups,  TODAY!  Tell them you are ready to get to work.


And I would like to add what I personally consider should be dubbed our Theme Song!

Sam Sheepdog and Ralph Wolf


I ran across this Looney Tunes episode from 1963.

It’s a prime example of Good vs Evil; TEA Party vs. Occupy; Republican vs. Democrat; Conservative vs Liberal, Sam Sheepdog vs Ralph Wolf,

GOOD = Sam Sheepdog, TEA Party, Republican(sometimes), Conservatives

EVIL = Ralph Wolf, Occupy, Democrat, Liberals

And as this cartoon opens, you’ll notice that they make Sam(Sheepdog) appear clumsy and dim witted just like the Main Stream Media tries to make the TEA Party and Conservatives look. As we follow the story, Ralph(Wolf) is like the Liberals. He uses all sorts of Tricks and Disguises to try accomplish his tasks.  Sam never flinches though. He’s calm, cool & collected as he does his JOB….which is to Protect the Sheep. On the Other hand, Ralph fails at every turn….He has NEVER succeeded at HIS Job.

I found this paragraph interesting. It’s from the WIKI page;


The series is built around the idea that both Ralph and Sam are just doing their jobs. Most of the cartoons begin at the beginning of the workday, in which they both arrive at a sheep-grazing meadow, exchange pleasant chitchat, and punch into the same time clock. Work having officially begun, Ralph repeatedly tries very hard to abduct the helpless sheep and invariably fails, either through his own ineptitude or the minimal efforts of  Sam (he is frequently seen sleeping), who always brutally punishes Ralph for the attempt.


Sam is the Conservative, who’s been asleep for the last 80 plus years. Ralph always FAILS! Just as the Democrats will fail in 2012!

I have received the same email from several of my friends recently. This morning I received it again, but something ‘CLICKED’ this time. I’m taking the liberty to retell the story from a political viewpoint. I hope you find it both humorous and inspirational.

The Black Labrador in the following photos represents our current Local, State, and Federal  Governments. I’ll call him “Big Sam“(alias for Uncle Sam) for this tale. The 2 Squirrels represent the American people with the momma squirrel being the Conservatives (aka the TEA Party folks) and the baby squirrel being just that, the younger, naive generation. I’ll name the momma squirrel “Lady Liberty” and the baby squirrel “Dumbo“. Ok…here we go with our tale.

Dumbo is out doing their thing on any given day. It’s a pleasant day in America and Dumbo is carefree, happy as a lark, listening to his IPOD, drinking a Latte or an imported beer. Discussing what happened on American Idol the night before. Feeling sorry for poor ole Lindsey Lohan. Trusting the American Main Stream Media. He likes to watch CNN & MSNBC because his liberal teachers tell him that a FOX is EVIL and will destroy him!  Dumbo is NOT paying attention to the possible dangers that lurk in the shadows from Big Sam. (Note that all of the pictures can be enlarged by clicking on them)

All of a sudden, Big Sam makes his move.  Now, Dumbo’s life itself is threatened and little Dumbo doesn’t know how to handle this.  Dumbo thinks that it’s OK to play nice with the evil Big Sam. Big Sam says we must be tolerant of  Islam, that it is just fine to leave our borders open for any Tom, Dick or Harry to  saunter on in. In the above pic, you’ll notice Big Sam has complete control of Dumbos surroundings…completely engulfed.

Now, Lady Liberty is watching, from the sidelines so to speak. She is ‘Deeply Concerned’ about this scenario which is playing out right before her eyes.What must I do?” she ponders

She decides that she needs to show some resistance against Big Sam. So, she makes initial contact with Big Sam by calling her representatives, writing letters, sending emails etc. This doesn’t seem to phase Big Sam though. He continues his attack on Dumbo, and Dumbo still  hasn’t realized that Big Sam is “A THREAT“. You’ll notice that if Dumbo was aware of the dangers, he would have run away  already.  But NO, Dumbo STILL thinks things are fine.


Big Sam is now beginning to get irritated with Lady Liberty and starts to growl, snarl and bite back. Lady Liberty is messing with Big Sam’s agenda. Notice Dumbo is STILL hanging around. He has not fled the scene yet. He still thinks that Big Sam is alright and is not going to hurt him. Lady Liberty though, is in the fight of her life. She has the wisdom and the courage to stand up and fight. And from the look on Big Sam’s face,  he realizes that he just might haveBitten off more than he can Chew

There is a happy ending though…..

Lady Liberty and Dumbo will be alright. They have escaped the Tyrant Big Sam. Even though Big Sam was a lot bigger and stronger, Lady Liberty emerges with her life and Freedoms. Yes, she’s scratched up and bruised a little, but she and Dumbo will prevail.

Dumbo will receive a stern reprimand though because of his complacency and stupidity. And as Dumbo grows a little older, he will remember this day and the lesson learned.

The last picture here ALSO represents the looks on the faces of the DemocRATS on the morning of November 3, 2010 when they wake up, and they realize that they just got their asses kicked by a bunch of TEA Party Conservatives.

Morale to the Story: Even when things seems down and out, AND you’re facing a EVIL opponent….fighting for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness will always prevail!

As most of you are aware, there has been quite a debate concerning the Tea Party Movement and racism allegations by our LIARS in Congress. On Tuesday evening, The National Chapter of the NAACP, at their convention, has condemned the Tea Party. Three days later, the plot thickens….

I attended a press conference by Bill Randall on Wednesday outside of the NC State Capital building in Raleigh.
