This is incredibly disrespectful of you. Why would you even think about attacking a young woman that you don’t even know?! Not sure if you have noticed, but America is one of the most diverse nations… which is why someone who is Muslim, is living in America. I do not think it was disrespectful of him. If you go to this lady’s FB page you can read for yourself. She is definitely against the Western American Culture. I would not want her anywhere near our political system. Unbias is not her middle name. The senator should never have hired her big mistake on his part.

I am not a religious person, nor am I nice when I want to call out an arrogant idiot that just proved to the world that America needs to reeducate its citizens on the fields of respect and compassion. You have no right to criticize a young woman who is doing more for our state than you ever could because of her ethnicity and religion. Secondly, this country is build on the Amendment of FREEDOM OF RELIGION. We do not associate Chrisitianity as the state religion, and doing so is a violation of our Constitution and Rights as Americans. All I can say to you is this, go to Wake Tech, take a few courses on world religions and learn what Islam is and what it stands for. I happen to know Noreen Elnady. We go to school together though we are not in the same year. I have had and heard of several conversations with her and she’s always provided an open dialogue. She is genuine, kind, open-minded, and a strong advocate for women.
As I was reading your degrading, intolerant, and Islamaphobic post, I feel the need to question why the post about the three Muslim students who were murdered was included. Why does it matter that she stands with those students when half of our campus felt the same way. Staff, students, faculty, and administration all participated in the remembrance events that we held and many students (including non-Muslim students) attended the funeral and wake that was held.
Why does it matter that her Twitter account is private? Ninety percent of my friends have private Twitter accounts because they don’t want their ish shared by everyone.
Somehow, I hope this is a dumb joke on your part that is getting out of hand but somehow, I doubt that this is anything more than sick, twisted, and delusional rantings from a jerk who needs to get a life.

Before writing this, did you contact Noreen and interview her? You have made some wild assumptions about her based on the actions of a few. Do you like it when people classify you as a conservative bigot based on the beliefs of a few? This isn’t journalism, this is just plain ignorance. So very disappointed in this post, and this is the type of things that makes me want to rethink if I want to be associated with the conservative BS that gets spewed.
The writer is obviously an incredibility ignorant, racist bigot with a very small and backwards mind. I truly don’t mean this to sound like name calling, but rather as “calling out” the demons in this article. This young woman just graduated from Meredith College with my daughter, and I can tell you that every single young woman that I have met at M.C. is incredibly brilliant and committed to making the world a better place for all people. My hope is that theirs is the generation that will shut down this kind of ignorance by replacing it with opportunities for intelligent, critical thinking to happen, for people’s eyes to be opened, and for their minds to expand and grow beyond the kind of short sighted small-minded thinking such as what is on this terribly nauseating page here today.

BLOGGER, unlike you, and many others here, I will not sppeak out of emotion, ignorance or before doing my homework.
So, you want facts. Here are some facts for you.
1. FACT: Noreen volunteers at local shelters
2. FACT: If you would ever ACTUALLY read the constitution, you would see that our freedom of religion is protected by the first amendment.
3. FACT: Not ALL Islamic people are terrorists just like not all American citizens are republicans or democrats..
4. FACT: Anything, taken out of context, can take on an entirely different light.
5. FACT: If you know nothing of a person’s character, you cannot learn it through their Facebook page.
6. FACT: Like many other religions, there are many different subsets of Islam. There are Sunnis, Shiites, and a lot of others. I am not Islamic but, like you, I was fearful of something I didn’t understand. Unlike you, I took the time to study the religion of Islam and found that they are all different. Noreen happens to be from a conservative yet tolerant subset.
7. FACT: Yes, our country is at a low point and is not at it’s best. However, this comes from a corrupt government and corrupt politicians, not Islamic students.
Now, I’m going to pick apart every thing you were able to ‘dig up’ and prove that you have no proof.
1, Your first screenshot is of one of her posts where you point out the group “The Winners Masjid” and underline the sentence, “Because I was marching for women’s rights, I got to witness how much Muslims were included in the speeches and discussions this morning”& the hashtag “#MuslimLivesMatter”
-First off, “The Winners Masjid.” I believe, you saw the word Masjid and did not bother to find out what it meant and what the group was about. So, let me tell you. Masjid means mosque. This group was formed as a way to raise funds to build a youth and community center and mosque for all youths, in memorial of 3 beautiful you Muslim people who were brutally murdered in their home. Now, I am sure that the center will be mostly Muslim families but it is open to all.
-Secondly, Noreen’s status is also about these three young people, also known as “Our Three Winners.” The march Noreen speaks of was actually a peaceful march in memory of these three. Many people used this march to bring other problems to light, such as women’s rights. Speeches were made encouraging tolerance and sharing memories of the victims. Completely harmless.
2. Your second screenshot was about her listening to a song, Hallelujah, in 40 different versions for a class and being sick of it.
-This proves nothing. only that she is human and gets tired of listening to the same song repeatedly.
2. The 3rd screenshot is of a status and friendly debate Noreen had with a few friends about the west’s abuse of power, misuse of power and culture
– Taken out of context, as this was, some things could sound a little one sided. but, here is the point of her argument and I believe that most reasonable people would agree. Everyone should not have to assimilate to the same culture. In addition, the people of Egypt and many other middle eastern countries are being murdered by Isis and the West does nothing to help and simply says ‘we all bleed red’ or talks about their support but never actually works towards justice to help these countries. In addition, the west does misuse their power, and we should dismantle the corrupt government by using our constitutional right to vote corrupt politicians out democratically.
3. The last screenshot points out that Noreen had 896 tweets and her tweets are private.
– Again, this proves nothing. It simply proves that a young girl enjoys twitter and enjoys her privacy. You say why make her twitter private if she has nothing to hide. So, I say to you, why not post your credentials on your blog, if you have nothing to hide?
4.You next point out that Noreen is an active member in MUN and Crisis Simulation.
– She is a student and there are MUN classes offered at most clleges and universities. This was a learning experience and nothing else.
In conclusion, your argument is weak and your point is mute. So, for your next update, how about do your homework and find real proof before you go spewing your hate speech to the masses.
