My fellow Americans,
Please start paying attention. The following is a continuation of something I stumbled across about 5-6 years ago. The Little Things! Start really watching those 30 cent fees, and other things and, DO some simple arithmetic.
Here in Durham, about 2004 or so, I found that our water bill had over a 330% tax increase from 1 year to the next. They had a new fee added to the bill, I think they called it a “Storm Water Runoff” fee. Anyway, it went over a 300% TAX increase in 1 year.
My most recent catch was this one, only because of the email throwing up a RED FLAG!(And it wasn’t on a pole either!) Bev…you’re one of the liars in letter below.
To: All Elected Officials Local State & Federal Levels
cc: The American People
Subject: Tax Reduction
First you must understand; I’m a kind, easy going, smart, hard working man. Yes, I get excited at a basketball game or NASCAR event, and I may spout a few ugly words now & again, but overall I’m your average AMERICAN. Pretty decent guy.
I’ve heard, both Democrats & Republicans at all levels, lies upon more lies on top of even more lies. All of you say you have reduced taxes here & there. Obama just stated last year that folks got an extra $13 a week or something…. Tax Reduction right???? BULL%$#&…… You’re a LIAR!
STOP IT NOW! You are hereby ordered to Cease & Desist.
I received this Email 2 days ago from my Phone Company. I use Vonage VoIP. $24.99 a month & we’ve had it since 2006. No rate increases what so ever. Good Price, Good Service, I’m happy. Here’s the email I received:

Dear Silence Dogood –
At Vonage, we’re committed to providing our valued customers with the best experience possible through regular updates to our services. Effective April 23, 2010, we’re making the following changes:
We’re adding free, unlimited Enhanced 411 to all Vonage calling plans – saving you $1.49 per 411 call! This added benefit is included in the Emergency 911 and Information Services Fee which also ensures we provide nationwide E911 service in accordance with FCC regulations.
In addition, the Regulatory and Compliance Fee becomes the Regulatory, Compliance and Intellectual Property Fee. This fee covers our regulatory-related and legal compliance expenses, including those related to customer privacy protection, anti-fraud protection and number portability, as well as intellectual property-related costs enabling our services.
Both fees will increase from $1.49 per month to $1.99 per month beginning with your first billing cycle on or after April 23, 2010. This change will allow Vonage to maintain our commitment to safety, innovation and customer service.

Remember I told you I was smart….. What in the Wide Wide World of Sports are you liars doing. That is a 34% Increase in TAXES!
34% Fee or Tax increase (Due to FCC/Government regulations)
Do the math. A $0.50 increase on $1.49 = 34%
And Vonage hasn’t gone up ONE RED CENT! But your Government Taxes & Fees have risen almost 101% in JUST THE LAST YEAR & 4 MONTHS! Between Jan. 2009 to April 2010.

I have the following questions for you:
1- When will I (your boss, the Taxpayer/Citizen) have your resignation? It’s due tomorrow.
2- Why have you allowed this to happen? You have ALL those “Oversight Committees” & such that were designed to make SURE things like this don’t happen.
More to follow once I calm down.
Update: NO I haven’t calmed down yet, but I just found MORE proof that you Liberals are a LIAR!
