I just heard from one of my PFF’s (Patriot Friend Forever) and Bart told me that he had written a ‘Letter to the Editor’ concerning the November 8th Election. He had submitted it to both of the local newspapers…The Durham Herald Sun and the Raleigh News & Observer.

Notice the DARK TINTED windows on the Hybrid Bus. This is done so that you can NOT see that there are only 4 riders per bus.
Below is the text of Bart’s submission:
NO to Transit, NO to Education
Durham County Commissioner Chairman, Michael Page, admitted that the two increases (The Transit & Education referenda) are on the ballot this year (Nov. 8, 2011 election) to clear the way for a property tax increase next year.
So our City and County governments plans not two, but FOUR tax hikes for us in the next year or so.
Let’s just look at the TRANSIT issue for a moment; While you’re out and about in Durham, and one of those DATA buses passes you by, try to look inside. The windows are either painted or have a very dark tint so that it’s hard to see, but if you catch the sunlight just right, you’ll notice that there are only 4-6 people on each bus. Now, keep in mind that these are NEW HYBRID Buses! Hybrid buses cost Durham $535,000.00 a piece and we just bought in them in 2009!
“The total cost for the 20 hybrid buses is $10.7 million.”

Yes Ma’am….that’s a good deal. 10.7 MILLION DOLLARS for transportation, for our Illegal Immigrant Friends (remember we’re a Sanctuary City but that’s a whole other issue)
Now, the Education Referenda; Isn’t that what the NC Education Lottery is for? To fund our Public Schools?
And the Durham City Council is proposing a special increase on the property tax on all downtown business under the so-called green BID program (Business Improvement District) for May 2012.BID = This increase is a 12.6% TAX INCREASE on all real and personal property within the BID boundary. That $10.00 lunch plate downtown will NOW cost you $11.26. Those $42.00 tickets to see a show at the DPAC are now $47.30 each.
And lastly, how about that fancy, shmancy, HIGH DEF COLOR info sheet that the Durham voters received this past week. The one mailed out, From Willoughby, Ohio and sent by the “Durham County Public Information Office”. The one that explains how we NEED to vote YES on both of these Tax Increases…..Hummm????? I wonder how much THAT little gem cost the taxpayers?
How much MORE can the citizens of Durham County Stand? I say, NOT ANOTHER PENNY! Or Half Penny or Quarter Penny. NOTHING.

Bart also told me that he got a call on Tuesday Morning from one of his buddies who told him that his letter was in the “Print Edition of the Herald Sun”. So, I wanted to see it. I’ve gone to the ONLINE edition of the Herald Sun several times since yesterday and it’s not there. Then it dawned on me. The Durham Herald Sun has lost majority of it’s subscribers (due to it’s liberal agenda) and folks that still want keep up with Durham ‘Happenings’ they now use the Online edition…It’s free!
Well, being a fellow ‘Durhamite” I too have noticed on many days that there is NO Letters to the Editor and now I understand WHY—– They don’t publish, ONLINE, anything that goes against the Liberal Mentality!

Notice the nice EMPTY Flag Pole outside of the Herald Sun Building in Durham. You know Liberals HATE the American Flag and anything Patriotic!
